Neighbourhood Plan Referendum 8th September – You Need to Vote!

The Neighbourhood Plan Referendum will take place on Thursday 8th September to decide on the question ‘Do you want South Somerset District Council to use the Neighbourhood Plan for North Cadbury and Yarlington Parish to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?’ Please remember that this area also includes Galhampton.

Voting will be as for local elections and take place at North Cadbury Village Hall on Thursday 8th. The result is based on a simple majority of those who vote. More details can be found via this link: North Cadbury Neighbourhood Plan

There is also a very informative short video that can be accessed by clicking here.

The Neighbourhood Plan is an important document in determining any future planning applications in the parish, which includes Galhampton, and a lot of work has gone into it over the past three years, including consultation with villagers. Areas such as Castle Cary and Sparkford which have no plan have seen a lot of housing development. Please do consider voting in the referendum given its importance in protecting the future of the parish and our lovely village of Galhampton.

Thank you!
